Over on Re-Fab . . .
Jan182012
Cross-Post Note: One of the many benefits of ReFab is that I don’t do personal whines here on Argh any more. OTOH, you are my people, and as Lani said when I waited to give her some information about what was happening in my life, “YOU TELL PEOPLE THESE THINGS.” So there’s a whine over on ReFab, which is also where I’ll continue to talk about stuff like health and houses and shampoo so as to keep Argh safe for posts about couches and obscene inns and–what was that other thing? Right–books. You can go anywhere you want in the comments, but I’m restricting my post whining to ReFab. Feel free to ignore the Very Bad Weekend post. It’s not very interesting.
Coming tomorrow on Argh: Susan Elizabeth Phillips gloats about her clean office once again. Other people send me pictures of their grandchildren, but not Susan . . .

We show up for the grocery lists and dog health reports, the bonus events are book chats, guest speakers, and weekend whines. House porn (or fun furnishings) is like frosting on the Crusie Cake.
Off topic, or ya know, since there are no topic rules to break, I have a quick question. You said “tomorrow” in the above post, so will that be with our without censorship? Are you doing the black out? WordPress gave us all an offer of banner or censor or combo. I’m going with the combo, seemed the right thing to do. Just curious.

Crap. WordPress did not notify me of this. Is this the SOPA protest?

It appears that was today. Nobody tells me nothin’.

Wikipedia said they’ll go full blackout, but then they went grey-out. I admit to disappointment.

They didn’t tell me neither. Poop.

Ditto Julie.
I was just at “I Want This Couch” and found from Sure Thing, “‘On Topic’ is not our fixed abode.” And from Jenny, “It’s not even our motel for the night.” I almost spit tea on my son’s computer. Don’t change too much, Jenny. We have sooo much fun here.

Yup, I’m proud of that line too, if only for the response it elicited! Thanks.

What, no more whines here? she whined.
Okay, I can add another blog to my Morning Blogfest. I must have missed the ReFab launch, but I’m so there now.

It’s a short story. It used to be free on the SMP site. It may even be free on my website (yes, I’m a little disorganized at the moment.)

Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Jennifer Crusie on the same page/blog! Brilliant!
Four grandchildren photos, 3 cats, 4 dogs, 1 possum, and a python coming up.
(Just kidding…almost)

Too many blasted blogs. I can’t keep up anymore. Can’t I have these things just downloaded into my brain when I sleep so that when I wake up I just have everything already there, as if I’d read it only better because I can remember, and then I could just come and comment.
Or better still, I would think my comment and it would appear in the appropriate place in the blogosphere. Boy that would be cool. I could be all over the place, commenting away while writing with some other part of my brain. I’d have to quit the day job for sure…

I’m going to miss the whining not being here. After a week of a dozen posts over on Refab I have fallen completely behind on that blog and will probably miss most of the whines which are quite lovely as whining goes. Perhaps if I spent each Sat. reading blogs, I could catch up, but then other things would not get done. Decisions…
I know on a lot of the other blogs, there are cross links between Lani’s blogs, your blogs, and now Krissie’s. Any chance of putting them here too or not so much? Maybe in the footer under your sister sites?

Oh, good point. We put links to the websites but we didn’t think readers would want both since the blogs are so different.
Let me consult with the others and get back to you.

Any place where you’re blogging, we’d like a link, please.

Pretty much here and Re-Fab, and only Monday through Thursday on Re-Fab. We put up a movie podcast on PopD every Monday, too.
I know I’m behind here, but this past week has been intense with the whole learning-to-live-with-diabetes-and-not-die thing. We have two new goddess chats, the first of which is being edited by Lani and Krissie right now and the second of which is getting a first edit now. So those are coming, I swear.

Okay. Thanks for thinking about it. I’m off to catch up on ReFab. I think it was the 9th the last time I read a posting there… I suspect that’s where I’m going to find out the diabetes news. Hope all is going better now.

I am back from Re-Fab, because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get from post to post. Is there some well-known way of navigating from post to post that I am just staring at and not seeing, or is it more complicated than that?
On January 22, 2012 at 7:38 pm Kelly S said...
You are right. ReFab needs a newer entry/older entry at the bottom of the comments like Argh Ink does. Until it gets them, if you click on home, you can see all the postings and they do have “older post” link on the bottom or on the right hand side there is a list of the more recent postings.
