Postponed Until Tomorrow

Feb232010

We’re switching servers to see if that will fix the contest problem. Except now there’s a problem with the form. So we’re going to go again on Wednesday in hopes that everything will work just FINE.

In other news, I ate a Tootsie Roll pop last night. It was hard candy. I’m allowed to have hard candy.

Okay, I’m starting over today. Today, I will be GOOD.

And tomorrow the contest will be back up again. ARGH.

Jenny, how about changing your contest? Set a time limit, like noon to midnight. Then after midnight use a random number generator to pick from all those submissions. That way there won’t be a collision as soon as you open up the contest.

Huh. I could have sworn that I commented on this post earlier today. My imagination or something funky going on with my home computer.

Anywho. Ya know, there’s not a moral judgment involved with eating a tootsie roll pop, even on the first day of a new diet. Just sayin’.

You’re not imagining it. :) You commented on the old server — we lost a couple comments in the migration time. Your comment must have come in after we moved the database. Sorry about that!

Hooray for new servers! In the meantime, our Goddesses of the Diet, try this recipe for Sugar-Free, Low-Carb Chocolate Fondue : http://homecooking.about.com/od/dessertrecipes/r/bldes144.htm

Tips:

1) Do not stop stirring it! If you still get lumps, put it through a sieve. That isn’t cheating, it’s a logical solution to a common problem. But do it quickly before it gets cold.

2) You can use skim or low fat milk, but you’ll have to stir longer. It still tastes good, though. My dad claims he can taste the difference when I use high end cocoa powder, like Ghirardelli.

3) Try to stick to fruit when you find yourself dipping everything in the house in this stuff, instead of pretzels or marshmallows. I think Sweetness and Light will like this stuff! :-) I loved fondue as a kid. Heck, I love it now, but you know what I mean.

Aw! That sounds frustrating. Best of luck to all the players for the rest of the week. Again, I will steer clear around the noon-hour.

can you have the jell-o sugar free/fat free all-chemicals-all-the-time instant chocolate pudding? it’s not bad. :)

At least this contest got you a new and improved server. :)

Oh Heavens! Of all the things you could be, please don’t be that. Good is boring. Adhere to the dietary restrictions all you want, but please don’t be good. Your work–and, by extension, us–would suffer.

Having a tootsie-pop is not being not-good (-:. However, I recognize that slippery slope that is topped by a cherry-flavored tootsie roll pop. Be kind to yourselves, or the craziness will spread . . . .

Dear, dear Jenny…you’re good no matter what you eat.

The last thing my grandmother ever said to me was, “Be good! And if you can’t be good, name it after me!” I’m pretty sure she didn’t mean my now-giant ass.

Heh. I’m kind of glad it isn’t just me. I haven’t been able to get on AT ALL either day so far.

Of course, my computer at work is generally co-opted, just before noon, by one of my colleagues. I may have to resort to some sort of workplace violence before Friday. Or just blatant rudeness. Whichever.

OK, so maybe I’m asking the dumb question and I realize that I’m probably coming to the party late, but where do you actually fill out the form and submit? Does it just magically appear on the website at noon? I realize that I’m cutting it close but I’m hoping that if I refresh my browser at 12:00:01 PM, there will be an obvious way to get to this “I-MUST-WIN” contest…

Where is the form?!

Whitney, Catherine Nelson — Yes! It was just here. This is the first time I’ve ever been able to get ON the site when it’s happening and I saw the form! It was very exciting, like seeing Nessie, a unicorn or The Grassman of Ohio (http://www.bigfootencounters.com/creatures/grassman.htm) (my brother’s favorite mysterious creature). But it was all for naught, as it was no longer accepting submissions.

Still, it was exciting to try. Maybe, if this contest continues through about August, I will finally be able to actually SUBMIT a submission. Good luck to you guys too!

Well, spit! I could NOT get the form on my pc browsers, but got through on my iPhone. However, it says itls no longer accepting submissions. wahhhhhhh!

Seven minutes of hitting refresh in seven windows and I still didn’t see any form. The stress may kill me.
