My contest karma sucks. 'Cause I'm a quitter. Then I read the comments about people trying to open ten slots at once, and called my son and asked, "If a thousand people simultaneously tried to open ten connections each to the same server, is that the same as ten thousand people trying to gain access?" He gave me the my-mother's-a-lunatic sigh, and said, "Yes, but why do you want to know?" So I explained the contest, and the tragedy of my quitting too soon. And he said, "I'm sorry, Poochie, but can't you just wait and buy the book when it comes out?" I may have snarled at him. Congrats to the persevering winners!
