Well, here’s the thing: If I keep writing the same thing over and over, I’m going to go stale. So I have to keep changing it up. After my first couple of books, nobody has made me do anything, all the choices have been mine. And there have been plenty of readers who have been upset with those choices, too. But for every reader who’s said, “I wish you wouldn’t collaborate,” there’s a reader who says, “Love the collaborations. For every reader who loved Welcome to Temptation and hated Fast Women, there’s a reader who loved Fast Women and hated Welcome to Temptation. And there’s a fairly good number of readers who think TCD is the best thing I ever did. So at the end of the day, I have to make the call. And you know, I haven’t regretted any book I’ve done yet, with the exception of the Book That Shall Not Be Named and since that’s buried somewhere, I’m okay with that, too,

I purchased your new book with all the enthusiusim of a first roller coaster ride. Then I read the ‘Dear Readers’ and almost threw the book away from sheer disappointment. You took away the one thing, the only thing that made your books unique to Jennifer Cruise. How can anyone say your books are “cold”. The were compassion in comedy. I love your books. I personnally have gotten 25 people to read your books and they love them too. Who knows how many people they each have told about your books. The Cinderella Deal was OK, not Great. Not as Great as I know you to write. You have a unique talent…. and that is to but humor into romance where it usually gets convoluted with the same ol’ every romance book has its emotional baggage. I related to your stories. My life is like your stories. My husband and I don’t have heart to hearts. We had one when we first developed our relationship. We’re not mushy with words or affection. Who have you been listening too….Jennifer Cruise????? The best thing I like about your stories is the truthfullness of them. There was no truth in “The Cinderella Deal”. Daisy lacked any originality to her quirkiness. True she wasn’t mainstream, but thats where it stopped. Don’t surpress your desire to write a comedic situation when the book calls for it. This is the first book of yours I haven’t laughed out loud at least once. Nope, not one time.

I did like the Failbook one about the girl who complained her boyfriend ‘kissed like a Golden Retriever’ and a Golden Retriever wrote in to complain.
Well yes, I am easily amused. Especially when I’m trying to avoid doing something like housecleaning or taxes.

I guess we are both killing time at the same time as here I am, right after you posted. I do like the aggregator blogs that filter through all the crap to bring me funny stuff. Still was surprised to see almost exactly my toilet on thereIfixedIt.com – where the plumber had cut a seat shaped hole in the edge of the door so it would shut around the toilet leaving a lovely hole in front of your bum. Nothing says privacy like a 6 in hole in the bathroom door. Fortunately, I got a job on another coast and moved out of that place shortly after the door massacre.
