Only, now you need another name for the original. So, just to be helpful (well, really because we're way behind on leaf and puppy poop mitigation, and that means I've been in the back yard with a rake for days), I've been thinking about replacement titles. For some reason, Auld Lang Syne keeps popping into my head. Maybe it's the Christmas to New Year setting. Anyway, I looked up the lyrics and found out the song's really about old lovers. Who knew? Even though I’ve been looking forward to the original You Again for a loooooong time, I think that title is a great fit for AKMG. Only, now you need another name for the original.

We forecast it. And, the forecast is based on the principle that too much is always enough. Really, it's because we usually go to the SIL's for T-day. Big family, complete chaos, 'specially that last 30 minutes on account of you can't make the gravy until the turkey comes out, so everybody's salivating over my shoulder as I whisk. Wised up 10yrs ago. I cook a turkey at home a few days before, and take the ready to-be-thickened stock to the SIL's so that gallon of gravy's done before the turkey comes out. It's amazing how much easier it makes putting dinner on the table. And, I go home with the stock from the T-day turkey to make another gallon of gravy for the turkey I have in the freezer. Life is Good. Life covered in gravy is better. I am thankful for Reynold's turkey bags for providing enough stock to make a gallon of gravy, and for ending my 20-year tradition of getting burned trying to baste the damn turkey. I am thankful for the fruition of You Again the second, and the promise of You Again the first. I am thankful for the Cherry community, where swords are drawn to be examined, not to be crossed, and snark is an amusing by-product, not a goal to be achieved at the expense of kindness and manners. I am particularly thankful that even though Jenny has exploded her head in service to us, her nearest and dearest will have it glued back together and restuffed by end of day.
