No, Thank you Three. You’all made it worth buying and reading.
At the end, did I see the possibility of a sequel?
On February 12, 2009 at 7:04 pm Jenny said...
Always a possibility. We loved writing together. But we’re intriqued right now by the possibility of a different idea. And of finishing our separate solos.
But thank you so much for asking, Louis.

What Louis said. We’ll make you a deal. You keep writing good books, and we’ll keep buying them.
A really good book is a treasure, an escape and a source of solace. We thank you for giving us all of that.

I would like to third the “thank you.”
I told myself not to buy it because I just spent $250 on a plane ticket to Texas but then I was at the store and saw it and it called me name! So, of course I bought it and read it before class instead of my textbook!
Thanks again!!!

Fabulous, fabulous news and I agree with everyone else. Thank you. You know what I love most about your books? They’re keepers. They only get better with re-reads. I always get my money’s worth, and then some.

As was said before, Thank You Three, for the great book, and such great characters. When I re-read it, I know I’ll find nuances I missed the first time around. And a big Congratulations, and being so high on NYT list already. Good going!!

#29 on NYT? Congrats!! & THANK YOU to you three hilarious, witty, down-to-earth, lovely (can I just say overall, ‘awesome?’) authors!
I’m still in the middle of reading mine, but I’m enjoying every page of it! Trust me!

Sorry – yay and all for the power of three but SOLOS!! Nothing beats an original Crusie. Your solos are classics that we all fervently read over and over again, the collaborations, in my opinion, lack that extra spark. The big gooey center to connect with. Pretty please another solo?

I FINALLY got it yesterday (and stayed up way too late reading it (-:). Very wonderful!
I really like the way it offers “alternative sexual fantasy.” So much s.fant. is about women being swept away by their own hormones, or being swept away by powerful men (which dances on the edge of rape in some stories). (-: I’m not saying it’s totally healthy to be swept away by butter cookies, but it’s got to be healthier than a lot of the alternatives out there. (Swept away by Vampire Mojo, anyone? It’s OK while it lasts, but always leaves me not respecting myself in the afterglow.)
The orgasms via the passion of painting, though? Pure goodness! (-: Made me wonder what would happen with a writer and her electric typewriter (heh-heh-heh!)
Another v. cool thing: fertility and birth, which were soooo important 4000 years ago, are relegated to an insignificant (almost childish role). The strong, modern, mature woman wants lust, sex and orgasms!
Mind, I’m not sure I totally agree with that ordering of the world (I’m still in the child-rearing age), but it provides a lot of food for thought.
(-: And a random thought: ever notice how there’s no goddess or protective saint of mothers/parents of teenagers? I wonder how that would play out?
I’m still woozy from lack of sleep, but it was a wonderful book! Thank you, three ladies, and I thank your muses, too!

Ummm, I wouldn’t know how good it is. But I will tonight, after attending (with a handful of CherryBombs) someone’s book signing. Sigh! Gotta get to the airport.

The Borders Express in Key West better have the book in stock since I’m going to drive almost an hour and a half to get it. (We have no closer full-service bookstores and the local Publix and K-Mart don’t have D&G.) Nat and Pyxi will enjoy the ride since we’ll visit the dog park while we’re down there. Congrats on the NYT placement. You all deserve it!

Well, it was fabulous. No need to thank me ;o) I’m just glad, you’re writing… and writing… and writing. IMHO the goddesses are even better than the Miss Fortunes. The Dogtalk was fabulous, and knowing Wolfie and the rest of the pack from your pictures made it somehow, well, real. Thank you for hours of very happy reading.

I LOVED this book!! Such fun. I was disappointed when I finished it because there wasn’t any more… more… more… So a sequel would be just the thing if y’all want to do it.
Terrific book, lots of fun!!
Beware of the CherryBomb invasion…

Happy to do it. Really. Paperback books are good value, the best in these financially fragile times.

Well, prepare to get boosted even higher on that list–you know we brag about y’all whenever we get the chance! Can’t tell you how many people I have turned on to you guys–remember, I drive public transportation and I get to talk to a LOT of folks every day!! LOL! Keep ‘em coming–we’ll keep reading. There’s no such thing as too many books…

Hello,
Loved the book. It must have been so fun to write.
I’m looking for the RSS feed for your blog and I can’t find it. Finally getting my google reader set up. Where is it?
Thanks.

I have my signed copy sitting at the top of my TBR pile, now that I am back from the Dayton Whack invasion. Hope we didn’t traumatize anybody. It was great meeting you three. We’ll be back to help kick off Wild Ride.

I read the book AGAIN, after returning from the Whack – SO much fun. Thanks for signing so much stuff for us. Although I wish I had remembered to get an audiobook for my aunt, who likes to listen while knitting. Since you had the Sharpies, you totally could have signed that, too!
Good luck finishing Wild Ride! I hope that you’re not as tired as we are, but since you were working so much harder…

29th on NYT list! Congratulations! I bought mine and talked the sales woman into buying herself one too…she’d been eyeing it in the store.
I’m saving my copy…It’s sitting on my nightstand tempting me like chocolate! But I’m not giving in yet…just savoring the anticipation. Thanks so much for writing! You really make life so much more fun!

Micki’s random thought:
> there’s no goddess or protective saint of mothers/parents of teenagers?
Try St Jude, the patron saint of lost causes and hopeless cases. Now there’s a saint I can relate to!

I finished the book last night and loved it. I also loved the feeling of the cover as well as the significance of the artwork.
My husband asked if I could tell who wrote which parts without the symbols. I thought I could but I’m glad not testing was involved.
I get the NY Times on Sunday but they didn’t show the books after number 15 – how rude.

Oh this does sound like it will be a Fun Book! I love fairy tales.
You may know of these already (or may not want to look at), but some recent fairy tale novels that I really like are The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey and the following books by Robin McKinley: Beauty, Rose Daughter (retellings of Beauty and the Beast), Spindle’s End (retelling of Sleeping Beauty, now with a hideous cover), and Deerskin, which is quite a bit darker than the others. Oh, and also, Brokedown Palace by Steven Brust.

No matter how much we love you and Krissie and Lani, we wouldn’t continue buying book after book, plus copies for all our friends and relatives, if we didn’t love the stories. You earned that NYT spot with your magical words. Thank you!

I discovered your work last year with AGNES AND THE HITMAN, wow, amazing fun, and have sent you on to my kid and her crowd of voracious readers. You now have your own shelf in my bedroom bookcase, precious space indeed, and I reread your books, and they only get better!! I find I read them 3-4 times before I can take it all in..fabulous plotting and pure fun. Thank you, thank you..
