I love puppy breath. I wish they could bottle it. Smells like a damp newspaper.

That looks like a lab puppy, or maybe a golden retriever. Either way, Bob’s patience and energy is about to be tested.

Oh my gosh, he is THE most adorable thing! I wanna love him and hold him and squeeze him and kiss him forever!
Ahem.
Congratulations Bob!

A handsome pup. He looks adorable–sweet and very smart. Oh, the joy and delight of puppies.
Congratulations to Bob!

So cute! But methinks that, like Bob, Gus would disapprove of being described as “fabulous.” I’m just sayin’.

Oh my gosh, he is so cute and cuddly. It is raining where I am today, and seeing a picture of Gus makes me wish I were at home under the cover snuggling with a warm fuzzy puppy.

oh my. cute cuddly puppy smells all in your face. Looks like Gus already has his special bed for naps and toys to chew on, so it appears they are becoming best buds.
Happy puppy days to Bob. Enjoy!

Is ‘Gus’ the new hot name for puppies? This is the 3rd puppy Gus that I have heard of recently but the other two are dachshunds. (One is actually Augustus after the character in Lonesome Dove though.)

I love that face! Yep, just looking at the picture makes me happy. Congrats, Bob.

What a cuddly little sweetie! How old is he? Golden Retriever, or a Labrador? I can’t tell when they are that little! And what does the existing dog (there is a German Shepherd bitch in the family, isn’t there?) think of him?

Gus looks incredibly laid-back and very content. He will be a great companion–Labs are like that. My daughter will be all mushy over that pic–she adores Labs! I have a friend in Belgium that breeds and shows them–he even has one named after my youngest daughter (and yes she is a champion!!) so when I say Gus is a gorgeous pup I know what I am talking about–LOL!! Hope Bob has a lot of fun with his new little buddy!

Oops – that’s “as” regal looking…

ok is it just me, or does Gus look a little like Bob in that first photo? Maybe its just the ‘why are you bugging me expression’…

Awwwww. Gus short for Gusto? Watch out when that precious bundle of joy starts teething. Just saying. They make a softish frisbee that is a fine chew toy. Can’t be chewed up. So far.

Gus is adorable and Hannah has more patience with puppies than I do

Holy crap! That’s about the cutest thing I’ve seen in awhile.
And it kinda hurts my brain since I think of Bob as having scary dogs, not cute and cuddly little puppies.
The mind boggles.

What a cutie and destined to grow up into a big, handsome, dog. Congratulations, Bob. 10 weeks. Whew. Last summer I fostered two 7 week old lab-beagle pups. The foster kids reminded me how much work puppies are when they’re that young. I received my current two furkids — brother and sister English Cocker Spaniels — when they were 7 months old so I got to miss the “must let them out to pee every two hours” stage of housetraining.

good lord. With the photo of Gus along side the other pup (Hannah?) he looks HUGE! He will be a big boy. One of those you can call to when you fall in the well. Excellent choice, Bob.
“Gus! Go get help. I’ve fallen in the woods and wrecked my leg! Go get help boy!”

I just now saw the update. Hannah is such a pretty girl! And I’m glad she hasn’t eaten Gus yet. He’s just about snack-sized, I’d say.

Bob’s reputation is in the crapper now. He’s a softie under all the military ammo.

what a cutie. my best friend got a new dog over the holidays and it’s so hard not to have one especially when you see a little guy like Gus and remember the snuggles and the naps. I’ve conveniently forgotten the chewing, etc, that goes along with puppyhood.

Hannah is gorgeous! OMG! She looks like a bigger version of my Pom puppy, Jazz–Jazz doesn’t have the full Pomeranian coat yet and she is the same color… Aren’t they wonderful together? They are going to have SO much fun!

This makes perfect sense. Only someone like Bob, with all that military training, could possibly withstand Puppy Eyes, so of course he gets one!
And, yep, those are some pretty cute puppy eyes.

As someone said above, Hannah does look regal. Lovely dog! Beautiful coloring. Didn’t see her picture here when I commented before.
