Day Seven: Finally We Meet
So moving right along, we got some good work done in Campfire, hammering out some of the inconsistencies, getting the TPs nailed down, talking about characters and setting. Then Bob summarized the notes and posted them there, and I did a setting description complete with photos and posted it there–14.5 MB–and now we’re trying to figure out what scenes we each need in the first act, which is a little easier for me because I have some of them written (working ahead there). And then tomorrow I can’t meet because of the dentist so that’ll give us an extra day to each get another scene written.
Also, Michelle Obama rocks. Thank you.

Michelle Obama made me cry. Any man who catches a woman like that has to be pretty smart.
Glad to hear things are moving along on the book. And that there are no spiders interrupting things. You are making me paranoid about central Ohio spiders if the southern Ohio ones are crazy.
Michelle Obama made me cry, too. She rocked big time!
Ms. Obama is very wonderful, I must admit. She is one of those women that make you proud to be a woman.
And Jen, I just wanted to say that I am enjoying your blog, as an aspiring writer I am enjoying the “behind the scenes” look at how you work.
And about central Ohio spiders, I hate to tell ajay, but they are creepy here too–including wolf spiders and the occasional black widow from produce at Kroger–but having taken entomology I do have a healthy respect for them. It’s true that they are as afraid of you as you are of them–that’s why the biting.
I’ll say “OUCH” for you at the dentist. Hate to visit.
spiders and dentists in the same week? Poor baby.
[shudder] Never shopping for produce at Kroger again! Eek!
Sounds like a great campfire! Getting TPs nailed down! And Bob summarizing with notes and you detailing setting complete with photos. Collaborating sounds fun, apart from the times its, not so fun.
I’ll need to google Michelle Obama and catch up. And the Democratic Convention is in Denver no less!
Oh and I did put a comment in yesterdays post about how to easily catch spiders off your ceiling.
I just caught up on your days. I was missing because there was no wireless at the RV I was housesitting. BTW: Not the most comfortable thing to spend days in. Especially when you have two dogs and two cats there too.
Remember, no love scenes in the shower cause you can barely fit one person there and just nope, you need to be tiny to do that. Very tiny.
Jenny, I’m watching you on TV! Who’s Afraid of Happy Endings is currently on SCN - alas, it’s not repeating today. Very cool. I loved it when Kathryn Smith was speaking with the lady from B&N and they were standing next to the store’s magazine with you and Bob on the cover.
I have a giant spider on my ceiling but she’s just an ordinary orb weaver and no threat to anyone.
So glad the writing is all going well. And yes, Michelle Obama is great. And so is Hilary Clinton. She made me cry tonight.
I missed Hilary. Will have to catch her on You Tube. Thank God for You Tube.
Happy Endings. Is that the documentary? I have it somewhere but I’ve never seen it. I have an irrational fear of seeing myself on TV ever since that abysmal Celebrity Hobbies thing. Run awaaaaaaaay.
No love scenes in trailer showers. Actually we have many pictures and I’d already figured that out. Plus my heroine has a regular apartment above and ice cream store. So not a problem.
