THAT’s the baby who almost ended up with little horse booties…however I had to think twice when it came to BobEx delivering them. I figured they might end up in a ditch on the highway out of town. I thought Daschound soxs were pushing the envelope…
Awwww–how I miss that wonderful baby-smell. Sniff her head a few times for me, ok? She reminds me of my oldest daughter at that age… and yes, I believe she resembles her grandmama! Enjoy your visit–they change so much so fast over the first year.

Awwww! Thanks for sharing such a special moment with us.
Well, no wonder you’ve been quiet on the blog lately. Babies take precedence, especially grand babies.
Callie is absolutely gorgeous. What a sweet face and that tiny whisp of hair on top that is so wanting to be a curl. Sigh. You can tell I’m a should-be-a-grandma but not.
She is absolutely adorable! Have fun loving the baby.

Totally, absolutely, without doubt the third most adorable grandchild on the planet.

I was wondering how long you would hold out before heading off to visit with the brand new grandchild. She’s beautiful and bright and wonderful. But you knew that already. Have fun, all of you. Make sure you chase off the parents for a little rest and personnal time for themselves. The sooner they all know it can be done safely, the better. I know you’ll be a great grandmother - have fun spoiling little Callie - it’s your job.

She is beautiful. The blog silence is perfectly understandable. Actually, if you were blogging instead of snuggling that gorgeous little girl we would insist you get your head examined.

You are a very composed and restrained Grandma. When my first was born, I cut the cord for her. No way could I have waited weeks and weeks to see her, or to take care of DD. Didn’t notice anyone mentioning Callie’s dad, but he’s got some buttons to pop, too. Way to go, Callie’s dad.
She’s a cutie, for sure. While we’re telling her how lovely she is, we need to keep reminding her also of how smart and kind and creative and beloved she is. Tell her that all the time. All the time. Write to her.
I tell her she’s beautiful and good at math. Mollie looks at me and says, “She’s seven weeks old.” I say, “Yes but she’s GOING TO BE good at math.” Perfect child.
And I will soon be home again and back to work, but it was a lovely, lovely visit.

Probably it’s not too early to tell her she’s a great writer.

Alert, focused, contemplative, serene in your arms.
And beautiful,too.
A gift to be cherished by all.

Jenny, do you think that you could just make this picture part of your permanent blog? It is just so perfect and it makes us so happy! As jenb said, like a gift.
Congratulations again.
Hug and kiss baby too! She’s beautiful!
Absolutely must hold baby now. And nibble on earlobes, too.
envy, envy, envy — how lucky you all are!
Awwwwwww.
I want to hold her too.
I’m a sucker for blue-eyed blondes.
I promise I won’t drop her if you want to hand her here. And I’ll only nibble the toes on the left foot, or the right, your preference.

Very nice baby.
Awww
So thrilled that you are there and getting some baby love in. There is nothing better in the world.
Mollie has a beauty on her hands!
She definitely looks like a muse. You must be sooo delighted!
Awwwww, what a cute baby!!!!
Big big hugs to Callie and Molly, et.al.
And of course the proud Gramma.
Yes.
What a doll! Definitely must hold baby now. Enjoy the visit!
Aah, she’s a sweet one. Enjoy. Enjoy. She looks she’s getting her personality, and what a wide-eyed joy. Lots of hugs all around.
Adorable. Have fun hugging the sweetheart.
She looks like she’ll give you a run for your money, Grandma! Enjoy!
Perfect lighting. Perfect expression. Perfect baby!
Yes, she is. And of course you must.

I hate to rain on the baby parade, and she’s indeed adorable–but does anyone else notice a suspicious resemblance to John McCain?
Perhaps it’s simply what Winston Churchill said: “Madam, ALL babies look like me!”
What a doll! She’s so cute.
So jealous! I want to hold her and take her home. Jenny, you are a lucky lady.
Gorgeous little girl. Enjoy, Grandma!
Awwww!
Cute beyond words!
She’s lovely. Enjoy!!!
Wanna set up an arranged marriage now? ‘Cuz I know an adorable, blue-eyed blond 1 y.o. boy who’d be absolutely perfect for Callie.
He sings, dances, love opera and already “drives” the Wii wheel…
Go. Absorb gorgeous sweetness. She’ll be asking grandma for money to buy her first car before you know it.
Thanks for sharing! She is adorable…give her a hug from me. Enjoy!

Mesmerized by Grandma’s eyes.
Beautiful!
Whoa, that new baby smell hit me all the way over here.
That is one yummy baby.
Awww. There’s just something about a baby…
What an angel.
