We got slammed again and the dogs love it. I’m praying that it melts before Tuesday afternoon when I have to pick up somebody at the airport. It’s supposed to be 46 then. Fingers crossed.

Wow!
Now that is white wet stuff!
Glad I’m where it’s sunshine.

Will you look at that! Those cuties are sure having fun. I can’t get over how they just love having their picture taken.
It is forecasted to be 35 degrees here today. That would be Celsius!
You guys sure did get a pounding in Ohio. I heard it on the news, read about it in our little newspaper this morning. I love your view, and of course your dogs, they’re priceless.
So, before you go to pick someone up from the airport on Tuesday, better check the coffee maker.

I should show my neighbors that shot. They have two dachshunds and don’t let them out in the winter, especially in bad weather. Don’t let them out for anything. Even potty breaks. shudder.

Love the snow dog shots! Sooo cute!
Melting snow is always good!
Will the airport be working in this kind of weather? I’m so glad Bob invented cell phones. How did we ever do airport pickups without cell phones? Those are indeed lovely dogs, and a pretty nice deck, too. Sigh. Dogs, sigh. Deck, sigh. Snow? No thanks, I’m driving.
He already asked about the coffee maker, Robena. I’m not emptying the waste basket, either. I did get him the economy size bag of trail mix and the pop-up book of warriors. That should hold him.
Kieran, hat’s the Ohio River out there in glorious flood brown. Yes, it has been known to rise into the first floor. You live on a river, you can’t be fussy about flooding.
The dogs love the snow. Milton bounds through it and Vernonica tunnels. But they’ll be glad on Tuesday when it’s in the forties, too. Because then there will be MUD.

Jenny, excellent planning on your part. Very timely to have someone with shoveling-type muscles visiting so soon after a big snowfall.
The snowbabies are adorable. Bet it does a number on Veronica’s fur. Good thing she has an entourage (that would be you) on hand to deal with it.

I don’t know it looks like Veronica is saying, “Enough with the pictures, Mom.” Why does she keep sending us out here and then making us look up? Weird. Sheesh (as someone would say).
I was thinking about you today, Jenny, for many reasons as I was painting my birdhouse. It reminded me of the time Bob was asking - Book done yet - and you were painting the mailbox. I could not imagine painting the mailbox at the time, but as I was painting the birdhouse (it used to have a cute little scene on it that has flaked away), I was wishing I had had you as an art teacher (too)! Birdhouse does not look too good, but I was sitting outside in the 70 degree weather. Don’t hate me because of the weather!
Ahh, that’s why I feel a kindred spirit with people in Ohio. Whatever weather you get there, we get in Toronto only hours later. What amazes me is how there’s always enough snow to go around.
Yeah LtL, sure ya are… hee. Jenny, you know he’s gonna rip those warriors out of that book and use them to show you who’s shooting whom from what angle while you’re wargaming Wild Ride. Because for a grown man it’s “illustrating a point,” not playing with paper dolls. Erm, action figures. Pop-up action figures. Which he could also duct tape to the dogs, thus introducing a smidgen of the real-time chaos of war into the illustration of his point.
The guestroom has reversible quilts. Flowers on one side for Lani and Krissie and Pat, stripes on the other for Bob. That’s as far as I go. Flipping the comforters over to stripes.
Oops, sorry, slipped on a Pomeranian and hit the enter key twice. Me bad.

I’d like to clarify. Are you wargaming the second book? What is the status of the first book? I didn’t think you’d done a DLD draft of that one yet. Is it because this is a series? And how detailed does wargaming get? Do you set up all your turning points in advance? Roughly how many conflict boxes to you start with (I’m sure this varies from when you collaborate and when you solo.) Curious minds want to know.
Dare I mention that it’s 83 degrees here in Arizona?
This morning I woke up early (when it was still around 60, I think) and found the front door wide open and not a cat in sight. (My home help had failed to shove it hard enough when she took the trash out late last night). I did the logical thing–I panicked. Went outside and found Aliera on top of the wall–so much for my security plan of lining the gate with screening. Fortunately, she came to me and I was able to grab her. I turned around and there was Sethra on the path. I chased her inside and flung Aliera after her. It was cold out there, and only two of the three of us were wearing fur coats.
Are dachshunds good at herding cats? I could borrow the Corgi next door, except that she’s thoroughly intimidated by the five cats who live there.

Milton could be a dog model. Seriously. Love the snow on his snout!
Do they like the catch-the-disappearing-snowball-game as much I as do?
That looks like a LOT of snow to this little aussie.
Hope it clears up even if the pics are too cute!
Totally adorable pups! But I’m intrigued by that nice unobstructed view you have to the tree line. Is there a river down there?

Awww, pretty.
Sorry….
The pop-up book of warriors. He he.

This time, don’t let the GAM use his macbook as a paddle.
I’m talking about the kayak thing!
Aw, precious puppies!
This is OT, but Jenny, I just saw your cousin Russ on the Food Network!

Ok, so maybe I fail Wargaming 101.
You’re wargaming WILD RIDE?
I thought you said it wasn’t a romance.
I read the title of the book in the two previous comments as “Wild Rice.” Possibly because of Cousin Russ.
Although I’m awfully fond of wild rice and, in fact, live in the land of wild rice, it does seem thin fodder for a romance.
“Wild Ride,” though–all righty then.
Okay, I want to know if you found a Roy Rogers bedspread for his guest bed?
Have fun with Bob there. Do your local travel adventures while he is there to help push you out!
We were stuck in Columbus for two days before the roads opened up enough to get back to Akron

Wild Rice will be the sequel to Wild Ride.
Are you co-authoring “Wild Rice” with Cousin Russ?

Looks to me as if the topic of collaborating is big enough for a book of its own.
It’s Tuesday - be sure to let us know if Bob arrived safely.
And I’m sure you must have some interesting tales about slippery streets!
That photo is the best!!
It’s Tuesday afternoon, did the snow melt so you could get to the airport?
Lou, me, too–I was worried today thinking about Jenny having to drive to the airport. Hope the roads were clear.

Make that six cats next door. One of the housemates has adopted StalkerCat.
