I just finished reading UMF (ready for a second read soon), really enjoyed the book (it was fun) and posted comments on my blog as promised.

LMAO! I was just thinking of that yesterday, along w. “Alone Again, Naturally,” and the line “You’ll be sorry when I’m Dead,(Can’t Stand Loosing You)” and wondering how did these capture the imagination of our culture anyway. . .? Alhtough, I still like “Can’t Stand Loosing You.”

I imagine an old geezer (teeth in the glass on the bedside table)puckering up his wrinkled lips leaning down to kiss his wife, fingering the thickness of her pillow, and thinking, “Die in your sleep, bitch.” Yeah, I know I’m not simple but I do have trust issues.
Heh.

There’s no story. I just looked at ths sign–I think every gift store on the web has a version of it–and thought, “Well, that’s creepy.” And since AKMG is in the sticky phase, it stuck.

Maybe I’ll make setting up a blog my reward for getting to “The End.” Maybe I’ll be done in time to qualify for AKMG, or Dogs and Goddesses.
By the way, did I read that you titled the AKMG book thusly because you hated the sign of the same phrase, or have I just not had enough coffee yet today? (Is “thusly” a word, and even used correctly, or should I get my second cup. . .?) If there is a pertainant story, I’d like to hear it.

Well, I have a blog but I use it as newsletter only, so sniff, sniff, even though I have a following it probably isn’t enough. That’ll teach me to freeze my comments.

Oksy, we screwed up the boxes at first and then I put the wrong URL in–really, trust me, I’m a professional–but NOW we’ve got it.

Melissa, it would, but then we’d have everybody who posted to a listserve entering. Which is not a bad idea, but I’m not sure how we do that. This is something brand new we’re trying, so we’re going to stick to blogs the first time out. But thank you!
